Little Rock Wedding Photographer – In Just 5 Days….

This lovely Miss, will be a Missus! Isn’t she amazingly beautiful?! I cannot wait for their wedding. This royal couple are professional ballroom dancers, and it definitely shines through every aspect of their lives. Glamour, glamour, glamour.
We began our session during Magic Hour, of course, at LaVada’s in North Little Rock. LaVada’s is an event center with quite a historical background. Aside from aesthetic southern charm, it’s just a gorgeous structure, right in the heart of Central Arkansas. A sweet, quaint courtyard, with rumbling fountain and tall historic trees… Sigh… Romance at it’s best.
After leaving LaVada’s we took off for a few shots at one of my favorite secret areas. Proof there are beaches, very few, in Arkansas.

We have been very neglectful to our blog in the last few months. It’s time to get back at it and let you guys know what we have been up to. Tonee recently moved to Arkansas – but don’t worry, we are still shooting together! I had my baby break late 2010 – 2011, but the little man is almost a year old and I am getting back to shoot our favorite subjects – lovers, engagements and the Shindig! I miss shooting weddings, but the nursing baby had to come first. Tonee has been quite busy in Arkansas, literally taking over there and photographing a lot of beautiful weddings. For 2012 it’s ON baby – we are back together and can’t wait to get started. We won’t always shoot together, but that just means that the tattered veil is growing and we are spreading out and taking over the country (next – world?!) HAHA a girl can dream. It’s not always easy, especially since we are both moms to 6 awesome kids (3 each) and we each have our other photography business going… so that keeps us quite busy, never boring.

The Holidays are just around the corner, and many you guys are planning to go down on one knee and pop the big question. Or maybe you already did this summer and most definitely she said YES! We have been interviewed by a lot of excited brides and I thought I’d put together a little list of the latest Etsy awesomeness to make planning a little bit easier for you. Or maybe it will give you an amazing idea that you could include in your own wedding. So here we go! We HEART:

1. How amazing are these personalized hangers! I found them on Etsy the other day, while browsing for a bridal hanger that was not made of wire. I am thinking about ordering one that says “Bride” or “I do”. It would make a pretty cool prop while taking dress pictures

2. We both have daughters, therefore we love flower girls and (being girls) we share the excitement of dressing up and feeling like a princess. Why not go all out for your flower girl, this is a pretty big day for her after all (I always have to think of Princess Kate’s flower girls and how they must have been on cloud NINE ). I love big tutu dresses and fairy wings on flower girls!

3. I keep seeing these paper umbrellas and I am very much in love with them. I’ve seen people use them for outdoor weddings, having one laying on each chair for during the ceremony. And I have seen them hang upside down over the reception tables (with lights shining through – magical!)

4. Uhm, can I have one of these button bouquets please? I wish I would have thought of that when I got married. I tried to preserve my bouquet, but honestly, it looks pretty sad these days. I don’t have my grandma’s skills when it comes to preserving flowers, so this awesome button bouquet has stolen my heart (plus, it’s cheaper than real flowers)!

5. How about these cake pops instead of cupcakes? It would make a cute favor too. And it would be pretty nice if I could eat some right now.

6. I love cake and I love (creative) cake toppers. This example is super cute and deserves a home on the fire place mantle, next to your button bouquet

7. Speaking of cake… why don’t you have that first bite from these beautiful vintage forks! So cute.

8. Uhh, this is pretty awesome! Something blue, hiding under your shoe :p

9. We know you boys are going to have a drink while you wait for the girls to get ready. So why not with a personalized flask? That would make a cool grooms man gift!

10. And last but not least I have to add a dress to the mix. If you are a vintage loving girl like me, then you will love Etsy! You might find your dream dress for under $200!

I am currently in Tennessee, where I got to photograph my cousin-in-law’s GORGEOUS wedding. I am so happy that I got to join family and at the same time photograph Stephanie’s most beautiful day. The wedding was held at Spring Creek Estate. This was a photographers, no, MY dream come true! The estate was absolutely dreamy, wonderful vintage goodness and eyecandy around every corner. I was in love. With a house. With the decorations. With Steph’s dress. With the horses, the dogs, the cats, heck… even the chicken! Hay never smelled so good! I wanted to jump into it and make a big hay angel on the floor. Sigh… too bad this was actually someone’s house and not an antique store. I was just too tempted to look at things (with my hands and not my eyes, like a good 4 year old girl would do!).

But back to the wedding… Steph got to marry the man of her dreams, David. The two of them are so cute and in love, real and true love. Vomit inducing love and cuteness And I took more pictures that usual. We didn’t have to drive far to get to the most wonderful background of trees that formed a tunnel. Old barns on every corner. We love to live dangerous and this was extreme wedding! Horseback riding in the dark and climbing into a barn that looked like it would fall apart any moment.

Enjoy the pictures, I am very much in love with them. You know you did good when you look at your own work and you think “man, I rock!” HAHA

This wedding was absolutely fantastic! The day was a bit crazy, we got everything from sunshine, to heavy rain to thick, beautiful clouds. The rain had me worried there for a second, but it all turned out just perfect. And with Red Rocks as a background, nothing can go wrong anyways!

We love shooting in the mountains! This time we were at the lovely Beaver Creek witnessing Ryan and Rachel exchange their vows in front of their many friends and family. The venue, decor, food…. photographers (haha)…amazing!! Ryan and Rachel, thank you SO much for having Stef and I at your wedding. We are truly honored to have been able to capture your memories!

Our B&G are huge Bronc fans! Rachel’s garters were so fun!Nothing wrong some artistic blur Isn’t she stunning, meeting Ryan for his 1st glance! A special moment for them. On our way Rach and I got a little lost. We strutted out from that rock wall on the right at the bottom of the stairs and Ryan just happened to be RIGHT THERE! LOL!

Rachel’s shoes were … hawt.

I always have a difficult time getting thru the Father Daughter dance…. and I NEVER make it without tears. Such a wonderful time for a father and his little girl. Rachel, I hope you know what an amazing moment this was for your dad.

Rachel is a Nucla girl at heart… she just doesn’t know it right now Nor does she have a clue where Nucla is. HAHA! But I love how she can get down with a napkin wrapped bottle, not spilling a drop!

This is the “Washing Your Knee” Dance…. That’s all I could come up with… It’s actually the Stanky Leg?! I have no clue what that is… but probably should. For now, and for my simple mind, we’ll just call it the “washing your knee” jig. Either way, they are REALLY good at it!!

Happy wedding and life you guys! We hope you LOOOVE your pictures and hope they will always help you remember the taste of the cake that went up Ryan’s nose… the smell of that sweet Avon breeze… and the laughter of your friends and family as they helped welcome you to your new life….. together.

Georgetown Wedding Photographer | Hobbits and Ents

This was a DREAM wedding! Let me count the ways how much I loved this…. out in Georgetown, a wonderful golden fall day (never mind that it was only 40 degrees and windy), trees with faces everywhere, my favorite Target people all together, a lake full of yellow leaves, wolves watching us from behind a fence aaaand my very own love was with me to play piano for everyone. It could not get any better!

Patricia & Eric got married! I know Patricia from my favorite Target store in Aurora and was so excited to be photographer and guest at her wedding. It was great to change into party clothes after a while and just do the things, oh, do the things that we like to do. Do a little dance …… … Get down tonight! HAHA

For more info on the location, check out www.shadowsranch.com - it was a dream come true! Shadows Ranch made you feel as if you are walking through an enchanted forest. The owners of the ranch keep a bunch of wolves (behind a fence), but at night they are allowed inside to cuddle up with their human pack leaders. If you know me, then you will understand why I was so in love with this wedding
